2015 Upper Kiewa Valley Community Award

Each year the Upper Kiewa Valley Community Association (UKVCA) discuss and consider recognising an individual who provides exceptional service over and above their Alpine Shire Council employment role.  In 2015, the UKVCA Community Award was given to Jenny Corser, who co-ordinates the Alpine Shire section of the VicRoads L2P program.  The program, with its team of volunteer driving mentors, has assisted learner drivers in the Kiewa Valley and elsewhere in the Alpine Shire.

Community Events in the Kiewa Valley

Community events are an important part of life in the Kiewa Valley.   If your Club or Group is organising an event on a certain date, check that it does not clash with other events on that date.

The  UKVCA has provided a Community Event Calendar  to record 2015 events.  The Calendar is housed at the Mt. Beauty Information Centre.  Record your event on the calendar.  The Information Centre is open 7 days/week.  Just ask at the desk and the assistant will direct you to the Community Event Calendar which has an instruction sheet alongside it.
