Three members of the Upper Kiewa Valley Communication Association attended the graduation on 2nd July of the participants who have successfully completed 6 months of work on conservation projects in and around Mt. Beauty and Falls Creek.
The Team have worked on a number of reserves enjoyed by our community including the Kiewa River walking trail to Pebble Beach, clearing and replanting large areas around the Pondage and indentifying and controlling grey sallow willow in priority Alpine bogs and wetlands around Falls Creek Resort.
The group has worked with the Upper Kiewa Landcare Group, Alpine Shire Council, Falls Creek Resort Management, Parks Victoria, AGL and UKVCA. All of these community groups thanked the participants and praised the work undertaken and hoped that another 6 month project will occur in the near future.
